The application architect’s core responsibility is the definition, implementation, and governance of the logical architecture of the set of applications that encompass eMASON’s Clarifire® platform. The application architect will ensure that the application cannot only be flexible to meet the future business needs of eMASON, but can scale to meet future customer loads. The application architect should have several years of experience in defining the architecture of N-Tier and messaging-based enterprise applications.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for definition, documentation, and implementation of the current and future state of the architecture of the application
Plan and lead the execution of that plan to implement architectural improvements to the Clarifire platform
Assume a leadership role in establishing and ensuring compliance with application code best practices across all developers
Assume a leadership role in establishing and ensuring solid version control and build automation practices across all developers
Evaluate, and provide recommendations, on frameworks and tools that fit with future architecture recommendations and designs
Duties:Primary Interactions:
Work with the Director of Architecture on long-range planning with regards to understanding future features and business strategies
Work with the Director of Architecture on long-range planning with regards to meeting well-defined SLA, scalability, and performance goals
Work with the development team to mentor, advocate, and provide guidance for working within the defined architecture
Work with IT operations to ensure that the application can be managed, monitored, and deployed
Work with business analysts to understand detailed feature requests and changes that may impact architecture

Qualifications:Technical Skills:
10+ years .NET web development experience, preferably Visual Basic .NET or C#
Experience with: WCF, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2008, ESB platforms & concepts, JQuery, AJax, JavaScript, Web API, MVC, Jquery UI
Experience with Agile/ALM practices such as unit testing, branching & merging, build automation, and continuous delivery cycles
Experience with multi-tier web applications
Experience mentoring less-experienced developers
